Department Chairs of Medical University

RCCH is one of the main clinical bases of the Ural State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia. There are 8 Department Chairs, which provide advanced training for doctors of the Sverdlovsk Region and Ekaterinburg as well as professional training for medical students:  

Chair of Children's Diseases, Faculty of Pediatrics; 
Chair of Pediatric Surgery; 
Chair of Outpatient Pediatrics; 
Chair of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics and Bacteriology; 
Chair of Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation; 
Chair of Radiology; 
Chair of Epidemiology; 
Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Teamwork provides a high level of diagnostics and treatment in the RCCH Outpatient Clinic and hospital departments and a rapid introduction of the most modern effective methods of medical care. Moreover, it creates an inspiring atmosphere for development of innovative approaches and treatment techniques. 

The leading experts from these faculties of the Medical University – Professor I.V. Vakhlova, Professor N.A. Tsap, Professor Yu.P. Chugayev, Professor V.M. Egorov, Professor V.I. Konovalov, Professor A.V. Kulikov, Professor S.V. Tsvirenko, Professor N.A.Khrushcheva, Professor M.A. Frank, Doctor of Medical Science L.G. Boronina, Associate Professor E.V. Devaykin, Associate Professor A.V. Smolin, Associate Professor A.M. Gradinarov either conduct regular outpatient consultations, or consult patients and doctors in difficult cases, participate in ward rounds, review the patients' histories and results of examinations, investigations and treatment in the RCCH units. The feasibility and safety of use of new medical technologies is controlled by the local Ethics Committee. Starting from September 2015, RCCH is also the hospital, where medical students of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), undertake their clinical training in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
